They say it’s a new thing, believing that nothing
Can be undeniably true.
They say that it’s OK, a part of the new age
To throw out what you thought you knew.
But nothing convinces my heart and my senses
That I should go changing my mind.
So I am still living the old time religion.
I’m not ashamed to say:
I’m believing one day
That a trumpet will sound,
Believing one day He will come in the clouds.
It may seem out of style, but I’m believing
That I’ll be leaving one day.
The TV will sell you a psychic to tell you
The future and what is to come.
They’ll look at the stars to come up with a chart
You can live your life by if you want
Oh but I am so grateful that our God is faithful,
And truth doesn’t change with the times,
‘cause Jesus is still King, and my heart is willing
to trust His Word and say:
I’m believing one day that a trumpet will sound,
Believing one day He will come in the clouds.
It may seem out of style, but I’m believing
that I’ll be leaving one day.
I’m believing I’ll live forever,
Believing He’ll dry my tears.
So until He comes or my race is run,
You’ll find me right here believing one day
that a trumpet will sound,
Believing one day He will come in the clouds.
It may seem out of style, but I’m believing
That I’ll be leaving one day,
Be leaving one day.
Yes I’ll be leaving one day!
